Integral Spirituality Book Signing in Boulder
November 05, 2006 07:57
Yesterday, 500 people filled the First United Methodist Church in Boulder for one of Ken's very rare public appearances. Ken's latest book, Integral Spirituality, was released in October to widespread critical acclaim, and he agreed to appear at the Boulder Bookstore for this event. However, as noted, we weren't in the bookstore--500 people simply wouldn't fit! I'm told fire marshals get cranky about that kind of thing, and so for the second time First United played gracious host (the first time being several years ago for Boomeritis, likewise to a sold-out crowd). Ken spent two hours doing Q&A with the crowd, and then another two hours signing books. Despite the cavernous space, it was quite an intimate dialogue, with plenty of laughs as well. After the Q&A, people were thrilled to be able to say hi to Ken while he signed their book. We made quite a few new friends that day :-) Timo Mae was kind enough to send me some of the photos he took that day (some with very cool digital edits), and they give a wonderful sense of the afternoon. Enjoy.... Colin
