The new issue of Integrale Perspektiven, a quarterly publication from German group AK-KenWilber, arrived at the loft last week. AK or Arbeitskreises Ken Wilber is an association of Ken Wilber Working Groups, or salons, in German-speaking parts of Europe.
The emergence and development of AK- KenWilber is described on their website: (My German is quite rusty, so please excuse any mistranslation)
“Since 1998, both larger working groups and academic working groups in different cities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria have met to dicuss perspectives on Ken Wilber, and to share personal experiences about Integral Transformative Practice.
Members come from the most diverse occupations, trainings, and age groups. Some of them feel it is important to make Ken Wilber’s work well known and to apply Integral Transformative Practice in their lives and work because it orients them to their highest perspectives. Others are merely seeking discussion, information and connection with those who are like-minded. The working groups are thus not fan clubs with Ken Wilber as their model and teacher “guru,” and members are not those who gather around Idol crowds and drink sparkling wines."
According to a one-page insert in the most recent issue of Integrale Perspektiven, the working groups have come together under a unifying association called “Integrales Froum.” What started as small, engaged groups has now grown to over 200 members and about the same amount of Integral Perspektiven subscribers.
This makes Integrales Forum possibly the largest Integral Salon in the world. Keep up the amazing work, and we look forward to the English language version of your homepage as eluded to on your site.
