Cynthia McEwen and John Schmidt of Avastone Consulting have just released a powerful report on research they've done over the past couple of years amongst the sustainability leadership of large corporations. This is very inspring and useful material, and some of the best quantitative reseach I've seen which validates and calls for an integral approach to sustainability. I highly recommend that you review this.

Basic description of the report is:
The general arena of the report is the nexus of leadership and corporate sustainability. It presents findings from a study Avastone conducted with ten global companies in which we apply a five-stage "Corporate Responsibility Gearbox" framework to position the progress of the companies. The report discusses what drives sustainability success using the integral framework (quadrants) and the correlation between stages of leader development and achievement of complex sustainability outcomes.
