Bill Clinton on Ken Wilber: "This Guy is Brilliant."
August 20, 2009 15:28

"This guy is brilliant." -Bill Clinton, speaking about Ken Wilber.

A friend informed us that she heard an interview on the radio that was broadcast recently, in which a teleprompter operator recalls talking to Bill Clinton about Ken Wilber and his book A Brief History of Everything. I went ahead and pulled out the 3.5 minute clip, or you can find the whole interview here.

About the Interview

Bev Feldman has been listening to our series about tough jobs and she wrote in to tell us about hers. Bev's job as a teleprompter in Hollywood requires the ability to stay calm under pressure - and the ability to scroll text at exactly the right speed for politicians and celebrities to look their best. This story originally aired on December 4, 2008.

About The Story

"One of our listeners sent us an e-mail that captured our goal for the stories we tell: 'Thanks for finding the ordinary us and putting our stories out there'

Our goal is to find people whose lives are intersecting with significant issues in the news and give them the opportunity to tell their story. At a time when "celebrity rules" and the only "ordinary" people we see are faces in the crowd, The Story reminds listeners that their stories and their lives matter. We believe that by creating a space for first person stories we are choosing not to accept a pollster's version of our thoughts and attitudes. We've learned that hearing directly from people about their experiences can transform our understanding of what's happening in the world."
