Integral Life Announcements: Facebook, iPads, and AudioBooks
June 06, 2010 18:44

Just a quick update about a few new site features that you may have noticed in recent weeks:

a) I Like You: All ongoing Integral Life content will have Facebook Like/Share buttons on the page, to make it as easy as possible for you to share our content with your own circle of friends. If you use Facebook at all, please help us out by using these tools--this sort of digital word-of-mouth is invaluable to a company like Integral Life, and really goes a long way to help bring integral ideas to people who might not otherwise come across them. With a click of a button, you can help to seed the world with integral thoughts and blessings.

b) Magical and Revolutionary: All of our ongoing Integral Life videos will now have an mp4 download option, which also allows you to stream this media on iPads, iPhones, and other mobile gadgets. All recent videos now have this feature, and we will soon turn on downloads/mp4 streaming for all of our archived videos. That's right--soon all of Integral Life will be iPad/iPhone friendly!

c) Be Kind Rewind: We also have a new audio format: the m4b AudioBook. All of our ongoing audio interviews, and many of our "greatest hits" from the past, now have this download option. The m4b format tells iTunes to handle these files differently than it does conventional mp3's. For one, it pulls these dialogues out of your music library, organizing them instead in your "Books" folder on iTunes. This makes your Integral Life library much easier to manage. Also, these files are bookmarkable, which means that if you stop anywhere in the track and put on some music instead, it will pick up right where you left off the next time you resume the dialogue. Some players allow you to rewind 30 seconds at the press of a button, which can be very useful for some of our more dense interviews. For more information, and for a list of 50 integral audiobooks you can download right now, click here.

So there you have it--three fairly major site improvements in the span of just a few weeks, all in tireless effort to help you access and share Integral Life content as quickly and easily as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to let us know in the comment field here.
