Who is Caroline Myss?
Caroline Myss on Integral Naked
Caroline grew up in the Chicago area, with her parents, two siblings, and close extended family. Raised a Catholic, she
attended Mother Guerin High School. After graduating from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana, Caroline returned to
the Chicago area to pursue a career in journalism. As a freelance writer, she attended a seminar of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
and was thrown into a "crisis of meaning." Inspired, she attended Mundelein College and received a Masters Degree in
theology. Heading east, she started the Stillpoint Publishing Company in New Hampshire, where she acknowledged her medical
intuitive abilities for the first time. "I had all the ambition in the world to be a publisher," she says, "and all the
talent to be a medical intuitive." She started working with holistic doctors, co-authored The Creation of Health with Dr.
Norman Shealy, began creating audiotapes, and lectured around the world.
In 1996, Caroline's book Anatomy of the Spirit was published, and became a New York Times best-seller. A year later, she wrote
Don't Heal and How They Can, which also became a best-seller, followed three years later by Sacred
Contracts, her third consecutive New York Times best-seller. She is currently at work on a new book about the Sacred
Contract of the United States, as well as Entering the Castle, a book detailing her experience with the stages of mystical growth as presented in St. Teresa of Avila’s The Interior Castle.
Description of written works:
Invisible Acts of Power
A wonderful account of the chakras (or energy centers) in the human bodymind and their special role in spiritual grace, gifts, and empowerment. A magical and moving handbook of your own deepest and divine powers.
Contracts: Awakening Your Divine Potential
Both visionary and practical, a bold, powerful work of spiritual wisdom. Without a doubt, your most intriguing challenge in
life is to recognize your spiritual commitments and live them to the fullest.
Don't Heal and How They Can
Presents a bold new account of the development of human consciousness and spirituality over the ages, and examines the
global transformation of attitudes about healing.
Based on fifteen years of research into energy medicine, Dr. Myss's work shows how every illness corresponds to a pattern
of emotional and psychological stresses, beliefs, and attitudes that have influenced corresponding areas of the human body.
Passageway to Transformation
Addresses the reasons why AIDS has manifested at this time in history. Prevention and treatment recommendations emphasize
the important role one's belief structures and attitudes play in a person's receptivity to, and treatment of, this deadly disease.
